would you rather be good or complete?

some recent days ago i experienced a few profound hours of peace. it occurred while i was dancing my thoughts out in a room full of strangers in the early hours of a new morning. in that moment within a moment, i felt no anger, pain or hurt. the feelings of bitterness and resentment were soon replaced by complete compassion, understanding and acceptance. i forgave others who i have turned against and i forgave myself. the insight was fleeting, and soon i was back to my normal state.

succeeding the days after the experience, i began to doubt the sensations i had felt. it was as though i had climbed a new mountain of development and real progress. but then, i assumed the substance had created an illusion that briefly clouded my judgement. a quick remedy to help me cope. after some deliberation, i decided t0 dismiss that doubt... it wasn't meaningless or untrue...it was beautiful!
i choose to believe that at some time, somewhere, in the recess of my brain i will once, again...find that peace.
